Taste
The commercial red mango: mild, reliable, and a bit fibrous. Pretty fruit, not our most thrilling eater.
Ripens
Midsummer, often July. The blush comes before the flavor peaks — softness at the nose is the test, not red skin alone.
Zones
Zones 10 to 11.
Hardiness
Tough and disease-tolerant compared with finer Indian dessert types. Young trees are still frost-tender.
Size
Vigorous. Prune or it becomes the large tree in the back corner.
Tips
Choose Tommy if you want color and a sure crop. Choose Glenn, Carrie, or Kent if you want a better dessert. The 3-gallon size ships.
Pollination
Self-fruitful.

Estimate from Naples

UPS Ground for a 3-gallon packed in about a 12×12×30 in box. The carton bills near 32 lb. Includes fuel and home delivery. A smaller box costs less. Not a label.
